On our actual anniversary (Monday 6.4) we went to the Melting Pot for dinner. The Melting Pot is where Andree asked me to court him after almost a year of "super friendship" so it's a special place for us.
My pretty hubby chillaxin' at the hotel. I think he was very happy to be on vacation just like me.
Andree loved to explain all the "smart stuff" at the Air & Space Museum to me. Here he is with a jet engine. I can't wait to watch him teach our little boys about jets and rockets. He's such a smart Puppa Bear!
This is at the Nats game on Saturday night. We were really hoping that Dimitri Young's (our favorite player!) home run would turn the game around for the Nats but unfortunately it was not to be. Maybe next time.
We left DC on Sunday evening and stopped at the grocery store to get dinner supplies and then after a short nap Andree made up these delicious kabobs. I'm so grateful to have a husband who cooks for me!--and that the food he cooks is yummy!
We came back from the Melting Pot to find our Love Nest had been burgled!--well not really. Mom and Dad Price "broke in" (with help from Denny&April) to plant flowers and a card on the kitchen table. It made the evening even sweeter for sure!
Even though our anniversary was technically over we decided to finish celebrating on Tuesday at dinner--which was aided by Denny&April generously supplying delicious steaks. And after dinner we ate cake...
The traditional eating of the year old wedding cake was surprisingly delicious! Though I suppose we shouldn't have been so surprised. Peggy makes a yummy cake!
Thanks to everyone who made our anniversary special from Monk-e-mail cards to surprise flowers, to cards and thoughtful gifts (plus free steak!) we were blown away! We're grateful to have people who think of us, pray for us, and carry our young marriage on their hearts. We love you guys! Our marriage wouldn't be possible outside of the grace of God and all the support and love from those who care about us and those who have gone before us.
