Simple Pleasures (Becca)

I was tagged by one of my favorite mommies and also by the prettiest half of a couple I respect very much... and I tag Jank, Jessimaca, Mums, hubbykins, BekJim, and Ruth. I think everyone else has pretty much already been tagged.

Instructions: Name 10 of life's simple pleasures that you like the most, then pick 10 people to do the same. Try to be original and creative; try not to use things that someone else has already used.

  1. When the house is totally clean and yet feels “lived in.” I love having a home to truly call my own and a nest to share with my love.
  2. Listening to Connor play outside through the open window and the way he greets me when he sees me: “Hi AndreeBecca!” That little man—and his wonderful mommy and daddy—make our day every time we see them. We are so blessed!
  3. Talks around the dinner table with friends—any combination, anywhere.
  4. The way the air smells in spring and how it “feels” in the fall.
  5. The air just after it’s rained on an early fall day. (J) It makes me literally itch to play soccer.
  6. Walks with my PuppaBear around our neighborhood and holding onto just his fingers… Finding toads on our walks that want to come home with me is a bonus!
  7. Falling asleep listening to that dear husband of mine reading Captain Underpants out loud to me to help me sleep—and waking up ten minutes later because he’s laughing so hard at the punch lines.
  8. Special little shared adventures with friends like going to Target with Mrs. Nutter on game days, or memories of Red Robin and random errand runs with Jessarooni, or habitating with Jan.
  9. Fellowshipping with any of Frederick-ers. They are such an amazing group of men and women with hearts for the Gospel that challenge and encourage me daily.
  10. When I realize that I am actually married to the most incredible, godly, loving, humble, servant of a man I know. It would be enough to simply know him and be friends with him. I can’t believe that God has given me such a gift of a husband and such a wonderful “job” in being his wife.
